We have an employee who has changed teams. What is best practice for keep old data with the old team, but having new data with the new team?
In order to separate out data for an employee who changes teams, we recommend the following:
- Create a new user profile in your source system.
- Disable the old user profile in your source system.
- Change the email address associated with the old profile to indicate it's outdated. For example, if a user's email is firstname.lastname@example.org, you'll want to change the email address on the old profile to something like email@example.com.
- InsightSquared will automatically move the old profile to "Inactive Data Owners" and you can then enable the new profile with a license.
