How do filters work on reports showing historical data?

In InsightSquared, filters will always be based on the current value in a given field. So, if you are filtering a report like Pipeline History to exclude Stage 1, the report will remove all opportunities currently in Stage 1. However, previous months may still have a value in that column, since opportunities that were in that stage may now still be open and further down the funnel (thus not being excluded from the report).
